Since 2017, the tax-exempt nonprofit Culver City Firefighters Foundation has supported local fire personnel in keeping the community of Culver City safe by backing public outreach and education programs, department wellness initiatives, and injury and disability assistance.

As a non-profit organization, the Culver City Firefighters Foundation aims to close the gap between the city’s budget and the needs of our community’s fire personnel—covering the cost of equipment, resources and training that help our firefighters stay safe while protecting the community. We currently work to support initiatives in two main areas: Firefighter Health and Wellness, and Public Outreach.

Thus far, our Firefighter Health and Wellness program has included: research funding of the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation, and AxeALS; donations to local firefighters experiencing hardship; and the purchase of new sta4on equipment.

Our Public Outreach program currently includes donation support to local youth athletic teams, and we hope to eventually sponsor a scholarship for students interested in a career in public service.
